Neil starts our Darcy week with this wonderful wall hanging that he made using the Tando Creative Layered Arch with Cobweb, PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints and PaperArtsy Darcy Rubber Stamps. Full PDF instructions are available to download.

1. Begin by painting the base of the Tando Arch with your base colour and allow to dry.
2. Scrape a thin layer of crackle glaze over this with a scraper and dry.
3. Load your brush with your colour and apply quickly over the glaze taking care to not go over it with more paint as it begins to crack.
4. Add larger open areas by rubbing the paint away before totally dry and stamp the border image in those areas to add more interest using the Jet Black Archival Inkpad.
5. Paint the two arch frames in matching colours, stamp the border image using the Jet Black Archival Inkpad along the top of the first layer as seen and glue in place; offsetting them to create a stepped edge.
6. Paint the top frame with a matching colour.
7. Highlight the cobweb with the Treasure Gold to add shimmer.
8. Stamp the border stamp around the edge using the Jet Black Archival Inkpad.
9. Make small holes along the top edge and attach to an old paintbrush (the scruffier the better!) using the craft wire.
10. Take the Darcy Butterfly and stamp the image several times onto the white stamping card using the Jet Black Archival Inkpad. Spray the images with a mixture of the Dylusions Ink sprays. When dry cut the wings off all but one of the images as these will be used to create flower embellishments.
11. Shape the wings then layer onto a glue dot creating the flower and finish with a pearl to the middle. Cut the butterfly, shape and add using the craft wire so it stands off the frame.
12. Take the chipboard letters and add two layers of Bronze UTEE. On the second coat stamp into the UTEE with the butterfly and border stamp while still hot to create the impression. Glue into place
13. Add a piece of driftwood to the brush with more wire to add further interest.
