Wish Granted: Sticky canvas - Day one

Hello :)
Hope you had a lovely sunny weekend.
Wishing Well week again, and a wish from Sarah...

Dear wishing well!
I have seen a lot of posts around blogland recently which use sticky back canvas. I would love to have an idea what to do or make with it before i buy any!
Thank you and here's hoping!
Sarah x

Well, Sarah, this is your lucky week as your wish has been granted and you will receive a £ 10 voucher. Just email me with your full name and I'll send it to you asap.

Gio will start this week with a lovely altered purse and how you can use Sticky Canvas to transfer images.

+++

Today, I am using sticky-back canvas to transfer images. It's very easy and mess-free.
You will need laser copy or photocopy of your images.
Remember if you have some text you have to edit the images to "mirror" them.

Please note these images are subject to copyright, we have specifically asked permission from Crafty Individuals to use the images for this project.  If you are replicating this image transfer technique please remember to use copyright free images or your own designs or photos or to ask permission of the copyright holder.

1. Stick the image face down to the sticky side of the canvas
2. Rub the back of the photo with a spoon or the handle of your scissor
3. Sand lightly the back of the image
4. Spritz some water on the back
5. Start to rub the image with your finger until you see it coming through
6. Protect the image with gel medium

You can transfer patterned paper, music sheet, your own pictures ...
I used my pieces to alter a canvas purse.

I cut a rectangle from a piece of canvas and sewed the bag.

I coloured it with Distress Stains and I stamped with my favourite stamps.

I sewed my transferred images with the sewing machine .

Material list
Distress stains: forest moss - Wild Honey
CI-017 - Script
Crafty Individuals images - Love letters
Crafty Individuals images - Time
Katzelkraft unmounted rubber stamps - Sandglass
Tando Masks: Sequin Waste
